Our Story

We grew up next door to each other, have been friends for over 47 years, and have been married for 25 years. We have been entrepreneurs for more than two decades.

Patti began her last career with a startup chemical manufacturing company that produced materials for bridge decks nationwide. She was there for 11 years as Operations Manager. Together, Patti and I have owned a family entertainment company, a women’s fitness club, a coffee shop, a purse business, dry cleaners, and other various businesses. I joined Patti at the chemical plant for two years prior to leaving for that entrepreneurial spirit we missed.

While searching for our next business venture, we spent nearly three months driving throughout the Pacific Northwest, looking at various opportunities.

Patti found Tender Heifer Snack Co. for sale, so we called the owners and learned about the business. After a short chat, we knew this had fantastic potential and immediately drove from the Canadian border to the owner’s home in Southern California to discuss it in more detail.

After meeting the owners, tasting jerky, and asking many questions, we bought the company. We knew we had a quality product and the potential was unlimited.

The deal was closed on January 2, 2017, and we haven’t stopped growing. Our business has grown from a jerky company to a full-service snack company in seven years, offering private label opportunities to distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.

In addition to assuring a quality product, our private label program has helped hundreds of businesses and individuals start their own companies or build on an existing one. Our combined backgrounds, experience, and dedication to building a successful business team ensure that our goals are met and exceeded.

It has been a fantastic journey, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has trusted us to be their partner.
