Patti and Franco grew up next door, have been friends for over 47 years, and have been married for 25 years. They have been entrepreneurs for more than two decades. Patti began her last career with a startup chemical manufacturing company that produced materials for bridge decks nationwide. She was there for 11 years as Operations Manager. Franco owned a family entertainment company for 12 years before selling the business to join Patti at the chemical plant.
When the plant owners sold the business, they realized the need to move on. They missed being “entrepreneurs.”
While searching for their next business venture, they spent nearly three months driving throughout the Pacific Northwest, looking at various opportunities.
Patti found Tender Heifer Snack Co. for sale, so they called the owners and talked for a while about the business. After a short chat, they knew this had fantastic potential and immediately drove from the Canadian border to the owner’s home in Southern California to discuss it in more detail.
After meeting the owners, tasting jerky, and asking many questions, they made an offer. They knew they had a quality product, and the potential was unlimited.
The deal was closed on January 2, 2017, and they haven’t stopped growing. Their business has grown from a jerky company to a full-service snack company in just seven
years, offering private label opportunities to distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
In addition to assuring a quality product, their private label program has helped hundreds of businesses and individuals start their own companies or build on an existing one. Their combined backgrounds, experience, and dedication to building a successful business team assure their goals can be met and exceeded.
It has been a fantastic journey, and they are confident this is just the beginning of a long and successful path.
